GOSHEN, Ind. This week’s Globe Track of the Week is ‘A Matter of Taste’ by Tyler Ballgame. A nostalgic sounding sound that harkens back to the sounds of classic indie music and the crackly-sounding Beatles music that my parents would play over the car radio in my youth.

The song features catchy guitar riffs, soft drums, and Ballgame’s own croon that mixes the chill vibe of the song with his own gravely rock tone. The lyrics themselves tell a story of desiring love with lyrics like Don’t let me go to waste /No, it wasn’t worth my salt,” while also noting the duality of it being okay not to receive it, as it is “A Matter of Taste” in the long run.  All these become an addictive listen that is sure to become a favorite the more that you hear it.

This song is the first album single that was released to precede Ballgame’s newest album For The First Time, Again. The full album was released a little while ago on January 30th and includes other great tracks like ‘I Believe In Love’ and ‘Got A New Car.’ The full song list will be performed around the country this year as Ballgame tours around the country in April.

He also will be supporting bands on their own tours, including dates with St. Paul and the Broken Bones and Alabama Shakes as they travel both the States and UK. Tickets for all of these shows can be found at https://tylerballgame.com
