GOSHEN, Ind. — St. Paul and The Broken Bones, a band coming out of Birmingham, Alabama is a band that never disappoints. This week’s Globe Track of the Week is the title track from their four song EP, Proxy.

Whether it’s the catchy beat that gets your attention, or the vocals that are confident and at certain points gives you the chills, Proxy is one of those songs that makes you want to sway side to side, snap your fingers, and makes you want to nod your head to the sound of the beat.

Released on Sept. 18, Paul Janeway, the lead vocalist said in an interview with Relix, “the best part of releasing this music is it gets to find its place in the world”

When listening to the song it focuses on wanting to keep someone close to you and how important it is for them to help you whenever you need it. It reminded me of this because during the first few seconds of the song you hear the lyrics “Falling down, facing down stairs, when I’m like this, I need you, need you to hold me, hold me.” That, to me, just shows you that when we are at our worst we need someone there for us that can get us through whatever struggle we’re going through.

This tune is one that should be listened to in the morning. It has very upbeat vibes and never truly slows down, from start to finish. If you let it, it even gives you that energy that you might need to start the day off right.

St. Paul and The Broken Bones are currently on tour throughout late 2026 and early 2027, They’ll be staying in the United States until Oct. 20. After that they hit the skies to Ireland, the UK, Belgium, France, and so much more. For more information on their tour can be found here.

All in all, this track will make you feel the soul in every lyric. If you need a song that will get you swaying and moving them shoulders, this is the one. Proxy by St. Paul and The Broken Bones, a song sung from the soul.
