GOSHEN, Ind. — World Women’s Entrepreneurship Day (November 19th) is a growing worldwide movement to support women in business.
In her first city council meeting as Mayor, Gina Leichty made the proclamation that Goshen will officially recognize World Women’s Entrepreneurship Day from this year forward.
The city of Goshen seems to be falling behind on women owned businesses but some entrepreneurs are confident that with support from local leadership, that issue will change.
Currently just 17% of businesses in the city of Goshen are women-owned, a figure that sits at 37% state-wide.
