And throughout Elkhart County, the sport of pickleball has grown exponentially over the past five years.
For some, pickleball is a way to keep a competitive edge once other sports become too physically taxing.
For others, it’s used as a form of physical therapy to fight ailments like cancer.
With the sport’s popularity on the rise, a number of courts have cropped up in the area, some even offering indoor play for the long winter months ahead.
