Everyone loves a good book, but sometimes we forget to return them to our local library and then there’s a fine. The Elkhart and Goshen Public Libraries have come up with a new fine system, or lack thereof. The two libraries also canceled all existing debt of library card holders. The main goal of the library is not to fine people, but to give access to information. Embarrassment can come about with the fine process. With less fines come more benefits. The library staff is not afraid of their books not coming back to the shelfs. The library is a place for everyone. Reporting for globe news, I’m Amelia Lee.
