The Goshen News and the Elkhart League of Women Voters hosted a candidate forum at the Goshen Theater last week. Candidates running for a variety of offices this November came to discuss a variety of issues ranging from traffic to housing. Clerk treasurer, city council, and mayoral candidates all took time to respond to questions written by The Goshen News and The Elkhart League of Women’s voters. At the end, mayoral incumbent Gina Leichty, who took over for Jeremy Stutzman last spring after he resigned, and challenger Benjamin Rogers took to the stage to answer a few questions from the audience. The elections for office will be held on November 7th, 2023.
