GOSHEN, Ind. — The Globe staff traveled to New York City on February 18th. They were able to attend the 87th annual Intercollegiate Broadcasting Systems(IBS) awards. The Globe staff was nominated for 15 awards.
On awards night the staff won five national first place trophies. But this wasn’t the only fun the staff had. They were able to roam around the streets of NYC, try all sorts of new foods, sightsee, and most importantly connect with industry professionals at the conferences provided by IBS.
That same night, 91.1 The Globe, was named the Best College/University Station for colleges under 10,000 Students. This has been the sixth time that the Globe has been awarded this national title.
