After graduation, student athletes often want to stay close to their sport. This is the case for Wyatt Bollinger, the associate head coach for men’s volleyball and assistant coach for women’s volleyball, who graduated from GC in 2023.

Jasmin Smith talked to Jeff Phillips, the Director of Volleyball at GC, who said Bollinger’s position is unique.

Bollinger decided to come back to GC because his relationship with the school wasn’t quite done yet.

He says his transition from player to coach has been seamless.

With the season starting later this week both coaches are confident in the future.

Conference play for the team starts February 4th against Olivet Nazarene University.
