This week on the Globe Sports Corner, we host women’s head coach Justin Crew and Maple Leaf Athlete of the Week Lucas Bontreger. Crew is coming off a big win over Rio Grande University in overtime on the road. Bontreger was rewarded as the first Maple Leaf Athlete of the week into the first semester. In a home match, Bontrager was able to pull off a hat trick in front of the home crowd. Alyson Prigge interviewed the two guests in our studio learning more about Bontregrer’s impressive performance versus Indiana University Northwest. Also, coach Crew speaks about another charity event at home versus Indiana Institute of Technology. Crew goes into detail why Go for the Goal game is very important to him. Last year, the Goshen College women’s soccer team raised $800 and this year coach Crew and his team plan to raise more. Also, the host Zachariah Begly informs us of Maple Leaf athletic events both on campus and on the road. More episodes will be posted weekly for the rest of the semester on this social media outlet. Please subscribe to our channel to stay connected with Maple Leaf athletics.
