In episode thirteen of the Globe Sports Corner, hosted by Zachariah Begly, we take a look at the Goshen College baseball team. The team currently stands at 7-11 in the regular and 2-1 in the Crossroads League. They recently won two out of the three games against Taylor University. Doug Wellenreiter, assistant coach for the team, talks about how the pitching was a huge factor in the wins over Taylor. Braedon Evans, a senior pitcher for the Maple Leafs, talks about this team is different from previous teams that he has been apart of in the past.
Tanner Camp interviews Jacob Gerber, a junior thrower for the Goshen College track and field team, about his performance at the NAIA Indoor Championships. Gerber finished tenth place overall and set a new personal record for himself. Gerber goes on to talk about how while he wishes that he could have made it to the finals, he is proud of his efforts in South Dakota. Gerber is also looking forward to the outdoor season and will use that meet to motivate him throughout the season.
Tanner Camp also interviews Siana Emery, a senior racewalker for the track and field team, about her accomplishments at the indoor championships. Emery would finish fourth place in the race walk and earn All-American honors. Emery comments on how she is happy to achieve this goal along with breaking her personal record.
