In episode ten of the Globe Sports Corner, hosted by Benjamin Cotton, we start off with a look at the softball team with their season now underway. Tanner Camp finds out how the team has improved from last year and what adjustments still needs to be made. He talks with Juliaclare Plezbert, head coach for the team, to find out how practices and games have been different compared to her first season. Katherine Boyer, senior second baseman, explains Plezbert’s mindset coming into practices and the legacy that she wants to leave behind when the season is over.
Tanner Camp interviews Gabe Kermode, freshman outfielder for the GC baseball team, to see how Kermode is feeling going into his first official season after redshirting last year. Kermode also talks about the strengths of the team this year and what they need to do to have a successful season.
Tanner Camp also interviews Jacob Gerber, junior thrower for the track and field team, after Gerber finished second in the weight throw at the Midwest Indoor Classic at Indiana Wesleyan University. Gerber talks more about how he felt going into the meet and his reaction after qualifying. Gerber also comments on his preparation for this season and the transition that will be made from indoor to outdoor season.
