Athletic training, and the resources that the Goshen College athletics department provides is one of the most essential factors in player safety.
Despite this, Athletic Training is often seen as an undervalued part of the world of athletics.
Associate Head Athletic Trainer, Emily Osborne, is in charge of working with all GC athletes to help maintain physical and mental health.
This includes working with athletes before and after contests, while also applying on-site medical attention if necessary.
Beyond her role as a trainer of the physical, Osborne also notes that some players come to her for advice or counseling on the mental aspects of whatever injury they may be facing.
The role of the athletic trainer is a difficult one, but is in good hands at Goshen College.
