Goshen College Men’s Volleyball players (sophomore) Alex Rabzhiev plays outside and (freshman) Ian Fox who positions at the middle discusses a few pointers about the team. Alex talks about the importance of team chemistry. The team basically started over again as they brought in a couple of new players so they have to build more chemistry together. He also said the team is working really well and is in good shape. He seemed confident that the team will figure it out throughout the course of the season and they are enjoying time together. Ian touches on a key leadership role player, MJ, as he talks about how he keeps the team energy high and pushes them every day. Ian was also asked how he felt about being recruited and being a new freshman to the Maple Leafs community. Ian explains the shift was very different, especially at his position the players are faster. Alex then talked about his experience playing in a different background back home over the offseason. A few things he said he is working on are endurance, passing, and hitting. Alex’s two main goals were getting his hitting percentage up and reflecting back on team chemistry as he wants to build a bond with his setter. The Men’s Maple Leafs Volleyball team looks to have a successful season.
