On the final episode of the Globe Sports Corner this season, hosted by Tanner Camp, William Troyer looks at Jessica Bachtell, freshman shortstop for the Goshen College softball team, and how she won the Rookie of the Year award at the Leafys. Bachtell talks about how surprised she was and how honored she was to receive the recognition. Bachtell also explains how tough the adjustments have been from living in California to being in Indiana.
Benjamin Cotton talks with Kart Sharma, senior tennis player and soon to be graduate at GC, about his career as a Maple Leaf. Sharma looks back on the improvements that the team has made over the course of his career. His biggest piece of advice to to work hard both on and off the tennis court and to be kind to not only yourself, but to one another.
Benjamin also talks with Kyle Mishler, assistant coach for the GC track and field team. Mishler primarily works with the high jumpers and is a GC graduate and former high jumper for the team. He talks about being on the staff and being back in Goshen after graduating. His also talks about how the team is really working hard to prepare for the conference meet.
Finally, Tanner looks ahead at the Maple Leafs in action this week and wraps up the final show for this season.
