GOSHEN, IN – First Fridays in downtown Goshen is always fun. This past celebration was full of all things “Volks”. Volks being the German word for people and of course Volkswagens! This past Friday, September seventh, was Goshen’s annual Volksfest. The celebration brings Volkswagen owners together as they show off their Volkswagens at the “VW” Showcase!
The event is highly anticipated by local Volkswagen owners and enthusiasts, as they all flock to show off and see their favorite automobiles. The proud owners stand by their vehicles, ready to talk to anyone about the car they love. Each one personalized in its own way, whether that means covering the side of their Volkswagen bus with stickers that chronicle their travels, or a classic Volkswagen Beetle with some interesting additions to its engine.
While some are rather old and others are new; these owners put great care into the rides they love, more than a few flashing the maintenance and care guide; “How to Keep Your Volkswagen Alive: A Manual of Step-by-Step Procedures for the Compleat Idiot”. Volkswagens all have an important place in the hearts of these owners, and no matter the vehicle, each and every one has a story and a proud owner waiting to share it.
