Alyson Prigge, Gabriella Klopfenstien, and William Troyer went to the grand opening of the brand new and inclusive playground off of Plymouth Avenue in Goshen, Indiana.
The three-year plan of the playground began with a letter from a high schooler that has now turned into a beautiful park. The park is home to wheelchair-accessible activities, musical instruments, and of course lots of slides.
Alyson Prigge was able to interview Goshen Mayor Jeremy Stutzman just after the ceremonial ribbon cutting. Mayor Stutzman talked about what an essential piece to the Goshen and surrounding communities. The playground will allow kids with disabilities to participate and play in a park-like they have been able to before. Goshen community school kids were able to come to the grand opening to try it out and get away from school. It was quite evident how much use this new park will get from all members of the Goshen community.
